Travellers should come to exciting Ekaterinburg for a trip they won't forget. Ekaterinburg is situated on the border between Europe and Asia in the Russian Federation.   If you like to see things from above, head to Visotsky Business Centre, where one can get a bird's-eye view from the 52nd floor.

• Visit Boris Yeltsin's museum
  The late former President of Russia, Boris Yeltsin, who was born in the region, was the Communist Party leader of this town from 1976 to 1985. A museum to Boris Yeltsin's life, including his important role in defying the 1991 putsch, is remembered in a museum dedicated to him in the town.

There are events throughout the year in Ekaterinburg, where travellers are sure to receive a warm welcome.

• Victory Day. This annual event on 9th of May marks the end of World War II. As the War had a significant impact on Russia, Russians remember the lives lost and the sacrifices made. The day is marked with parades and people laying flowers at the various war memorials in the town.
