In Singapore, its warm and mainly sunny all year round. August marks the celebration of National Day on August 9th. Every year there will be spectacular fireworks as well as a parade (tickets are only available to locals) and you can enjoy the festivities and events all over the island. If you visit on any of the 4 Saturday evenings before August 9th you can head down to the Marina Bay area to enjoy the practice firework displays at around 9pm and skip the crowds! Many of the local restaurants have special themed menus celebrating local food tastes, so dig in!
